TEARAWAY BACKINGS
Use tearaway on fabrics without stretch. Ideal for woven fabrics including denim, twills, nylons, canvas, quilting fabrics, vinyl, leather, cotton blends and utility fabrics easily tear off excess material after embroidery. It is used for light support and can have fusible or non fusible . It is removed by tearing it off the garment. It is typically used on firm wovens that don't stretch such as terry cloth, blankets, leather etc. It is also used when you don’t want the backing to show on the other side of the design.
CUTAWAY BACKINGS
Cutaway stabilizer is perfect for Ideal for lightweight knit fabrics, stitching dense designs on woven and stretch fabrics eg. knit. Allows smooth cutting away excess from application after embroidery.
Is best used for permanent support because it provides the most stability and remains affixed to the fabric . It also offers the sharpest embroidery on highly detailed designs like small letters . Any excess is cutaway with scissors. Can also be used as an interlining and has low shrinkage
THERMAL SPECIALTY
Prevents stitches from sinking into plush fabrics. Slight texture allows stabilizer to grip plush fabrics. Apply heat with iron and pressing cloth, stabilizer melts with no residue left on application.
WATER SOLUBLE SPECIALTY
Water soluble stabilizers can be applied as backing and topping for different fabric type. They are completely removed from projects after wash, leaving no trace of stabilizer. Widely used for patches and lace.
EMBROIDERY REINFORCEMENT BACKINGS
Prevents skin contact with coarse embroidery, embellished garments and in childrenswear applications.
SCREEN PRINTING
Perfect to use as trials before the actual screen printing is made on the garment.
The Embroidery Backings are the most essential function when embroidering because it is the stabilizer that does not allow the material/ facing to stretch and supports the fabric and stitches during the embroidery process. When hooping, a sheet of stabilizer is placed behind the garment to keep the fabric from puckering or moving while it is embroidered
POLYMESH
Lightweight woven cutaway soft no-show backing that is very thin, soft and strong. It is designed to provide stability to knit shirts embroidery applications (polo shirts / T-shirts) with the advantage of providing a clean finish. QST polymesh is the optimum, premium embroidery solution for higher end polo shirts embroidery, resulting in a premium embroidery panel, with no skin irritation.
EB-160
Water soluble backing for children’s clothing & lingerie, non-toxic, formaldehyde-free, leave no visible trace of the backing. Product can be used for light embroideries.
